If you are one of the fortunate guests to be able to spend the festive season at Ambre, one thing is for sure, you’re going to want to feel your best despite the festive treats. And the wonderful thing about December in Mauritius? You can expect gorgeous, sunny days that are perfect for outdoor fitness activities—of course, we can’t guarantee perfect weather every day but when it’s not, you can always head to the state-of-the-art fitness centre. Indulging in Christmas treats is no big deal when you have a host of activities to ensure you stick to your healthy habits this festive season. From Tai Chi, power walking, aqua gym, stepping classes, aqua basket and swimming lessons to abs and backs classes, stretching and relaxation classes, abs and bums sessions, yoga (with the occasional and totally unmissable sunrise yoga sessions), water polo and aqua volley, you are sure to find your favourite way of keeping active (and indulging in your holiday, guilt-free).
Invigorating tournaments and competitions
This festive season, Ambre is set to keep spirits up with a series of exceptional tournaments and competitions—the perfect place to show off your athletic prowess or just have a good time with old and new friends. The exciting line-up includes dart tournaments, bocce ball tournaments, beach volleyball, table tennis tournaments, badminton tournaments, mini Olympic games, dart tournaments and tennis volley tournaments. That’s not to mention the incredibly fun aqua games that allow you to make the most of the phenomenal swimming pool and unbeatable Mauritian weather in December. 
An abundance of classes and demonstrations 
A stay at Ambre is not a carbon copy of any other island holiday you might have experienced before. Instead, it’s characterised by unique and immersive moments and experiences that allow you to connect to Mauritius on a deeper level. And this year’s festive season programme has an array of incredible experiences for guests to enjoy. From poolside spa demonstrations, Christmas log making classes, Sega musical instrument classes and basic Creole language classes to a plethora of novel cooking classes where you can learn to make anything from spring rolls, fruit pizzas, venison curry to crab norimaki and pineapple fritters. For those that are interested in experiencing something totally different, there is also an exhilarating ice carving demo where the experts can show you what goes into the incredible works of art. 
Culinary treats
No matter where you are in the world, the festive season is always coupled with delicious treats and wonderful indulgences. And with Ambre's magical festive season programme you can rest assured that you will get your fill of wonderful culinary delights. Each day at 15:00 there will be a sumptuous high tea spread of delectable morsels with the Chef’s Afternoon Tea served at the H&H lounge. But decadent treats don’t stop there! 
Throughout the festive season guests can look forward to wonderful occasions and delights from the ritual aperitifs by the fountain, sunset rituals at the Coral Bar to delicious champagne breakfasts (for Christmas and New Year’s day)—gourmets have more than enough choice of wonderful culinary options. Not to mention the delicious offerings on the a la carte menus at Dolce Vita and La Plage and the remarkable buffets offered at Indigo. Each evening at Indigo this festive season there will be phenomenal delights on the menu from around the world, with themed buffets that range from Chinese fare, American favourites, fresh seafood delights at the Fisherman’s buffet to unmissable Mauritian spreads, French delicacies, island delights and wonderful Mexican dishes, there is sure to be a special themed buffet that is perfect for everyone. Those fortunate to stay at Ambre on the 27th of December and the 3rd have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular and special Creole evening (which comes with a nominal additional fee).  
Excellent entertainment
To ensure that this festive season is absolutely outstanding, Ambre have included an excellent entertainment line-up. Ambre’s trendy nightclub Shakers is open for festivities every evening for guests looking for the ultimate party with other forms of evening entertainment available throughout the festive season. From live Trios and Sega shows to karaoke parties and the upbeat sounds of the local live bands, you are sure to have an exceptional festive season at Ambre. 
A spectacular Christmas and New Year’s Eve 
Christmas and New Year’s Eve are truly wonderful occasions. It’s a time to be with friends and family, to celebrate what has passed and what is yet to come and to truly savour the special times. Ambre has added to this with exceptional experiences and activities that they have planned for Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2017!
The theme for Christmas at Ambre is the ‘White Side of Life’, where guests will be encouraged to dress in white and according to a ‘casual chic’ dress code. A special evening of Christmas carols and cocktails will take place on Christmas Eve around the resort’s fountain, perfectly setting the scene for this extraordinary occasion. Guests can then choose between a lavish Christmas Eve Gala dinner buffet at Indigo, a tempting set menu at Dolce Vita, created especially for Christmas Eve, or their favourite items from the superb La Plage menu. To complete the evening guests can enjoy the live band at Coral Bar and dance the night away at Shakers. 
Christmas Day promises to get off to a good start with a champagne breakfast at Indigo accompanied by live music and followed by a Christmas treasure hunt. Guests can enjoy a Christmas lunch and dinner buffet at Indigo or something from the wonderful Christmas a la carte menus at La Plage and Dolce Vita. A Karaoke Party and the live trio band will ensure festivities run into the evening, with Shakers open till late. 
New Year’s is sure to be similarly sublime with the evening’s festivities commencing with a special cocktail around the fountain followed by a choice of a New Year’s Gala buffet at Indigo, the set menu at Dolce Vita or the exceptional New Year’s Eve Gala Lobster buffet at La Plage. A festive live band will keep guests tapping their toes at Coral Bar, followed by a DJ on the beach and a final countdown to midnight. As the clock strikes twelve, guests will be treated to a fireworks extravaganza and can dance straight into 2018 at Amber's exclusive New Year’s beach party.
